Helsell Fetterman LLP, a premier mid-sized law firm in the Pacific Northwest providing trusted advice and formidable advocacy for its clients is pleased to announce that Kristy Ball, Jenica Cassidy, Nidal Dirini and Scott Johnson were promoted to partners.

Kristy is part of our nationally ranked Commercial Litigation practice group.  Kristy assists clients in matters involving personal injury, employment, business disputes, and property actions.  She also represents physicians and other health care providers in licensing and disciplinary disputes.

Kristy graduated from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007.  Prior to law school, she attended the University of Washington and graduated in 2003.

Jenica is part our nationally ranked Estate Planning and Trust & Estates Litigation Groups.  Jenica helps individuals and their families plan for the future and resolve legal issues relating to aging. Her practice focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and guardianship/conservatorship. She enjoys helping clients navigate and feel comfortable with complex legal concepts to achieve their goals and resolve challenges. She is a frequent speaker and author, presenting and writing on guardianship issues for the National Aging and Law Conference, The American Bar Association Commission on Law and Aging, and The Elder Law Journal.

Jenica graduated from Wake Forest University of Law in 2014. Prior to law school, she attended the University of Oregon and graduated in 2009 with a B.A. in Journalism.

Nidal  is part of our nationally ranked Commercial Litigation practice group.  Nidal’s practice focuses in the areas of personal injury defense, insurance defense, medical malpractice as well as general litigation.

Nidal has defended companies, insurers, homeowners, and has advised claims adjusters on best practices in Washington State. Additionally, Nidal has handled a wide variety of lawsuits ranging from third party car accidents to catastrophic injury litigation. He’s qualified to serve as an arbitrator in King, Pierce, Snohomish County, and has substantial jury trial experience. As first chair, Nidal has tried nearly 30 criminal and civil trials in multiple jurisdictions across Washington State.

Scott is part of our nationally ranked Environmental, Land Use and Real Estate Groups.  Scott’s practice is focused on helping clients make fully-informed decisions regarding the purchase, development and remediation of contaminated property. He advises clients about the risks they may face as past, present, or future owners or operators of such property, guides them through the complexities of cleanup laws and regulations, and makes sure that parties responsible for the contamination assume their fair share of liability. Scott also assists clients in navigating other environmental laws such as the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act and SEPA. In addition, he is a skilled real estate and land use attorney who handles all phases of property acquisition and development.

Scott graduated from the University of Washington School of Law. Prior to law school, he attended Washington State University.
