Welcome James Bush
James Bush has joined Helsell Fetterman — a Seattle-based law firm serving businesses, organizations, and individuals. James is part of the firm’s Health Care and Commercial Litigation practice groups.
James defends physicians and hospitals against medical malpractice lawsuits and represents physicians and medical providers in professional licensing and disciplinary proceedings. He also advises clients on the implementation of privacy programs in the context of clinical operations and research, including creating policies and procedures, drafting and negotiation of data processing agreements, and performing privacy impact assessments.
Prior to joining Helsell Fetterman, James served as Senior Litigation Attorney at the University of Florida Self-Insurance Program, representing insured clinicians throughout five major academic medical centers.
Originally from Florida, James graduated from the University of Florida, earning his BA in 2006. He graduated from Stetson University, earning his JD in 2009. In 2023, he completed his BS in Computer Science from Oregon State University. James is licensed to practice in Florida and Washington State.
